Legal Counsel

YOUR ROLE
As our in-house Legal Counsel, you'll be part of a team that ensures our fast-moving, internationally operating company always has its legal affairs in order. You'll work across a broad range of legal topics, receiving guidance from senior management and external legal advisors as required. Responsibilities are prioritized based on business needs, allowing you to gradually expand your ownership as you grow in the role. You'll work closely with teams in Linz, Belgrade, London, and our Dublin offices, as well as external advisors across multiple jurisdictions. Regulatory responsibilities are coordinated centrally, while local expertise supports jurisdiction-specific requirements, ensuring clear decision-making and ownership of compliance .

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft and review insurance customer documents and product T&Cs
Support on claims- and complaint-related legal questions
Take ownership of intellectual property topics (trademarks, copyrights, etc.)
Draft and negotiate partner contracts with clarity, confidence, and cooperation
Work iteratively with teams
Navigate regulatory matters and support colleagues in Austria, the UK, Serbia, Ireland, and beyond
Spot legal issues proactively and bring them to the table—no blinders, no tunnel vision
Contribute legal expertise to product development, risk assessments, and internal discussions
YOUR PROFILE
A completed law degree —ideally business law or equivalent.
4-5 years of experience in a relevant legal field (corporate, regulatory, insurance, commercial, etc.)
You're comfortable working across different legal topics— even those that are new to you.
Eager to learn, flexible, and genuinely curious about new challenges.
Clear communicator who can explain legal complexity without sounding like a textbook.
Open-minded and a great team fit. Mindset matters as much as experience.
Strong English skills for our international environment.

Salary
Minimum salary under the collective bargaining agreement: EUR 38,640 gross annually for full‑time employment, with the possibility of a higher salary based on professional experience.
