Magnus Energy is looking for an experienced Business Controller with BI skills. As the Business Controller in our Finance team, you'll play a key role in building the foundation for scalable, data-driven decision-making, supporting Magnus Energy’s ambitious growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Business Controller in the Finance team, you will support management and the executive board with financial and operational steering information. You will work in an independent role and report directly to the CFO. This is a new role and thus offers the opportunity to shape your own activities and deliverables. The Finance team further consists of two financial controllers. Your responsibilities will include:
* Financial & Operational Reporting
* Ensure accurate, timely, and scalable reporting, by building and managing integrated BI reporting and control tools
* Design, implement, and maintain ERP systems (including for new business integration)
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial & operational reports
* Conduct in-depth financial and operational data analyses
* Structure and present Magnus Energy financial information to prepare for future due diligence (DD) requirements
* Developing Client and FTE cubes in BI reporting
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Prepare forecasted Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
* Support the finance side of PMI by integrating acquisitions into ERP systems or alternative temporary consolidation
* Ensure seamless incorporation of acquisitions into financial reporting
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Education:
* Bachelor’s or a master’s degree in finance, Business Economics, or Business Management
* 6–8 years of relevant work experience in accounting and business control
* Proven experience with Business Intelligence tools and automation — able to independently set up and manage automated data integration and reporting processes
* Background in consulting and/or experience with M&A and PMI processes is a strong plus
* Skills & Mindset:
* Analytical self-starter, who sees solving complex questions as a challenge
* Possesses a broad, helicopter view of both finance and operations and understands that not every problem can be solved in Excel
* Comfortable working independently and pro-actively in a fast-moving environment, yet highly collaborative when needed
* Flexible and adaptable to change, throughout integrations and/or rapid business growth
* Native Dutch speaker or full professional proficiency (C2).
* Fluent in English (C1/C2 level) – verbal and written.
