We’re looking for a talented and experienced Data Product Owner with a strong passion for engineering and data-driven problem-solving. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the media data landscape, empowering business teams to uncover new opportunities, and building data products that deliver real, measurable business value.
As part of our Media Technology & IT department, you’ll work at the heart of Red Bull Media House’s technological ecosystem. Our team is responsible for managing and innovating across over 100 different media applications and tools — ranging from our custom-built media platform to one of Europe’s most advanced TV studios. Data is a cornerstone of our operations, enabling smarter decisions and powering media innovation.
Responsibilities:
* DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN DATA PRODUCTS — Understand business needs and translate them into impactful data products that empower business units to make informed decisions in the field of marketing media. Support data-driven strategies, uncover opportunities, and deliver measurable business value.
* DRIVE AND ENSURE A PROPER DATA ARCHITECTURE — Lead the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, robust data architectures. Ensure alignment with business requirements, industry best practices, and future-proof technologies to support marketing media activities. * MANAGE DATA INTEGRATIONS AND WORKFLOWS — Oversee and continuously improve data integration processes and workflows, ensuring seamless connectivity between systems and data sources across the marketing media ecosystem.
* DATA DRIVEN ORGANISATION — Drive the organization’s growth as a data-driven entity and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing media analysts and technical teams, to shape the technical landscape, integrate data systems effectively, and ensure data is at the core of decision-making.
* TEAM & COLLABORATION — Be a proactive and communicative member of the team, driving innovation in data systems and architectures. Inspire others to embrace a data-first mindset and contribute to the evolving data journey. Success will be measured by the impact of data products delivered, efficiency of workflows, and adoption of data-driven decision-making.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
* At least 3 years of experience in data-centric roles, with understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and data engineering concepts to drive data product development.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
* Fluent in English; German is a plus.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including conducting user research and interviews to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and align diverse stakeholders around a shared product vision.
* Persistent, systematic, and analytical thinking, with attention to detail and the ability to solve complex problems.
* Data or media technology-focused education or equivalent work experience.
* A passion for innovation and continuous learning, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging trends in data technologies and best practices.
* Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and hands-on data engineering knowledge is a strong plus.
* Experience in marketing media data setups and familiarity with media-related tools, platforms, or datasets is a plus.

Salary note: For legal reasons, we disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2,446 gross per month. Our compensation package is market-aligned and typically above the stated minimum.
