YOUR ROLE
As the Senior Operations Manager for our warehouse in Truganina VIC, you will oversee the organic and future growth of our customer contracts, ensuring a highly capable team, excellent customer relationships, and strong commercial and safety results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Specifically, you will:
* Manage daily warehouse operations
* Forecast requirements, manage profit and loss, schedule expenditure, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to meet financial and operational goals
* Develop and maintain an engaged team and culture focused on safety, service, and operational excellence
* Coach, develop, and manage team performance effectively
* Liaise with key customers regarding KPIs, audits, and daily account management
* Work towards objectives related to safety, environment, warehouse KPIs, Kaizen, LEAN, service delivery, and related metrics
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate has proven experience managing 3PL warehouse operations or similar logistics settings and:
* Capability to coach, develop, and engage individuals and teams
* Strong commercial and financial skills with analytical ability
* Experience or knowledge of enterprise agreements, labour planning, or industrial relations
* Excellent communication, stakeholder, and customer management skills
* Effective financial, analytical, and critical reasoning skills
* A mindset for continuous improvement with knowledge of tools like KAIZEN, LEAN, 5S, etc.
Candidates will need to provide proof of work rights, professional referees, and will undergo medical and police checks.
