Foodjob Nordic is recruiting an experienced Quality Assurance Manager on behalf of NORDEX FOOD for their advanced dairy production facility in Pöggstall, Austria. The facility in Pöggstall has 65 employees and produces 7.000 tons of white cheese annually. The dairy is certified to the highest international standards, including IFS, Bio and Halal, ensuring the delivery of premium products to markets worldwide. About the Role
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving site quality, safety, and environmental systems while ensuring compliance with rigorous industry certifications and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence at the Pöggstall facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of 3 QA employees and responsibility for the laboratory
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality, safety, and environmental management systems in line with IFS standards.
* Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for customer and regulatory inspections.
* Manage customer claims, product specifications, and supplier documentation.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on food safety and quality standards.
* Collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
* Monitor quality performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Your Profile:
* A relevant degree in food science, dairy technology, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in quality assurance within the dairy or food production sector.
* Strong knowledge of IFS certifications and European food safety regulations.
* Fluency in German or English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills.
