Unlocking the Potential of Quantum Computing
The world's most complex mathematical problems remain unsolved by even the most powerful supercomputers. Quantum computing holds the key to these challenges, but we need to transform today's prototypes into scalable, reliable systems.
Trapped-Ion Development Engineer
You will become part of a highly motivated, global team committed to realizing the potential of quantum computing. You will collaborate closely with esteemed clients and academic collaborators, taking charge of the advancement of trapped-ion quantum processors (ionQPUs).
* Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors, focusing on scaling towards very large chips.
* Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with our commercial partners.
* Enable the research community through projects with academic partners.
* Supervise master and PhD students.
Requirements
To excel in your quantum career, you should:
* Hold a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, computational physics or a related field.
* Bring more than five years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing.
* Be a highly motivated individual who wants to contribute to the reality of quantum computing.
* Be fluent in English; German skills or a willingness to learn are an asset.
Our Quantum Community
We are on a journey to create a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. This means we welcome everyone for who they are. At our organization, we offer a working environment characterized by trust, openness, respect, and tolerance. We are committed to giving all applicants and employees equal opportunities.
