1. Define strategic and operational actions for respective categories, coordinate these measures, and formulate category strategies.
2. Develop and continuously improve the respective categories.
3. Manage and develop suppliers actively.
4. Define, negotiate, and award contracts with strategic suppliers.
5. Support production plants, marketing, R&D, project, and technology category management on category-relevant issues.
6. Influence the cost structure through early involvement in the product development process.
7. Optimize procurement processes focusing on relevant materials in coordination with central functions, plants, and suppliers.
8. Explore, execute, and report savings according to guidelines in SharePoint, collaborating with internal customers and suppliers.
9. Manage complexity effectively.
Your Profile
* Degree in economics or technical studies.
* Several years of experience in strategic materials category management or similar roles.
* Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
* Ability to develop product and market knowledge for respective categories.
* Economic thinking and the ability to think beyond the obvious.
* Strategic negotiation skills and professional business attitude.
