Tasks

Research tasks:

Literature research on mechanical, electrical, and thermal misuse scenariosBuilding a coupled model (e.g., using COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys, MATLAB, or OpenFOAM)Selection and application of suitable short-circuit and heat release modelsImplementation of TR trigger criteria (e.g., Mohr-Coulomb, Johnson-Cook, Arrhenius-based reaction kinetics)Parameterization based on existing experiments (e.g., ARC, DSC, penetration tests)Comparison of simple (1D/2D) and complex (3D) modeling approaches, if necessaryValidation using literature data or accompanying experiments (optional)

Mechanical engineeringAutomotive engineeringPhysicsElectrochemistryComputational science, etc.

Study focus:

Electrochemical energy storageNumerical simulation or similar

Expert knowledge:

Knowledge of thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, or electrochemistry

IT skills:

Initial experience with FEM/CFD/multiphysics software (e.g., COMSOL, Ansys, MATLAB, OpenFOAM)

Language skills:

GermanEnglish
