In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist / AI Consultant at IBM, you will work to solve business problems using cutting edge open‑source technologies such as Spark, Tensorflow and PyTorch, as well as leading cloud‑agnostic and cloud‑native technologies, like Databricks, OpenShift, Azure AI etc. You will prepare, analyze, and understand data to deliver insights, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to stakeholders. In your role, you may be responsible for:
* Analysis, preparation and management of complex data sources
* Working on both custom and pre‑trained models (including Foundational Models and LLMs)
* Writing data and AI related programs that are easy to understand, safe from bugs and ready for change
* Development of scalable and robust data and machine learning pipelines
* Application of traditional algorithmic techniques as well as cutting‑edge AI/ML paradigms
* Implementation, integration and monitoring of AI / ML models
* Working in an agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other scientists, engineers, consultants and stakeholders of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and AI‑fueled innovation to all aspects of our clients’ businesses
* Communicating with internal and external clients (e.g. business and IT departments) and stakeholders to understand and define business needs and appropriate AI techniques to provide the best possible solutions
* Evaluating results of AI systems and reporting the results to technical and non‑technical audiences.
In addition to exciting projects, we offer you flexible working hours and a modern work environment. You will also receive a salary above the collective agreement starting at 49.000€ brutto/year for a 38,5 hours/week, with the willingness to pay more depending on your qualifications and experience. Required Technical And Professional Expertise
* Strong fundamentals in Mathematics and Computer Science
* Proven knowledge and experience in
o AI and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
o GenAI and agentic AI architectures (RAG, agentic patterns, etc.)
o AI governance and monitoring
* Strong ability to communicate with and coach senior executives, translating technical insights into business strategy
* You have strong technical and analytical abilities and a knack for driving impact and growth
* You’re great at solving problems by looking at things differently, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to complex problems.
* You thrive on teamwork and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
