Early involvement of Procurement and suppliers in the product development and manufacturing process, monitoring current products to minimize overall costs, and cooperating with interface partner functions for (product) development. Quality, logistics and material group management (commodity management) serve as information interchange and help in selecting the most efficient suppliers.
Responsibilities
* Early Procurement Involvement – Be actively involved in product development/manufacturing, push forward cost‑reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve target costs and reduce overall material costs, and align closely with R&D and Commodity Managers/Buyers.
* Early Supplier Integration – Include suppliers and conduct cost‑benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops, and concept competitions with key suppliers to focus on critical component/project functions.
* Analysis – Initiate market observation, provide market information/analyses on international technology and price trends, and identify new suppliers and technologies in the supply chain.
* Alignment of Technology Roadmaps – Introduce and follow up cross‑functional procurement strategies to link commodity strategies with technological market trends.
* Strategy Alignment – Support line‑of‑business activities to harmonize and implement technological LOB strategies with procurement strategies.
* Strategy Deployment – Drive sourcing decisions with interface partners to incorporate technological know‑how and safeguard security strategies.
* Business Support – Provide support for LOB projects, including quotes, workshops, Bill of Materials assessment, and realization of potential savings.
* Supplier Management – Technology assessment and development of suppliers (jointly with interface partners) to focus on the best suppliers.
* Knowledge Management – Participate in workgroups and projects to stay informed, share knowledge, and exert influence early.
Skills
* Profound knowledge and broad experience in procurement and supply chain.
* Ability to analyse, interpret, structure, and present complex data and information.
* Experience in complex environments with interdependencies, variables, and uncertainties.
* Independent execution of ambitious tasks, selecting optimal solutions or methods from multiple options.
* Problem‑solving skills for broad organizational or unpredictable professional issues.
Qualifications
* Education – BE Electrical (preferred).
* Diversity – Open for diversity.
* Location – Goa (locally based or willing to relocate).
