You will be Joining Veolia Industries Austria, a subsidiary of Veolia Global Solutions, employs around 200 people and generates a turnover of 33.5 million euros. The company specializes in energy, water, and waste management services, ensuring the maintenance and optimization of industrial systems. Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Kundl, Austria, your role will be:
1. Business partnering with operational departments and providing financial support to business units.
2. Contribute with financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
3. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and planning phases.
4. Conducting variance analyses (target vs. actual comparisons), ad hoc financial analyses, and evaluations of key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Managing and overseeing relevant contracts from a financial perspective.
6. Taking responsibility for project controlling and financial oversight.
7. Ensure compliance with Austria's financial regulations and tax laws.
8. Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to increase efficiency.
9. Support strategic initiatives and projects
Qualifications
10. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
11. 1-3 years of professional experience in finance
12. Strong affinity for numbers and data analysis
13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
14. Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
15. Highly independent and reliable
16. Detail-oriented and organized
17. Proactive and adaptable
18. Understanding of financial reporting principles
19. Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes
20. English Fluent (written and verbal) B2/C1
21. German Intermediate skills B2/C1
