Senior Customer Project Manager (m/f/d) German Speaker

Your Responsibilities
* Commercial and technical project execution of local and international complex projects for direct customers, key accounts, and channel partners – primarily large deals (Type 6 / J920 / NPI) with an OI volume of 10–50 Mio €/order
* Project execution of extended-scope, semi‑turnkey and standard‑equipment contracts for new unit and service business (OH&R and CM&U)
* Ensure cross‑functional coordination of technical and commercial project execution in cooperation with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing and Service
* Full project lifecycle ownership from order intake through delivery and installation to pre‑commissioning, commissioning and contractual handover to the end user
* Ensure the project produces required deliverables of quality within specified time and budget constraints and achieves the benefits defined in the business case
* Project contract‑, claim‑ and risk‑management, cost controlling and schedule coordination with the Project Controls Team
* Project scheduling, monitoring and tracking of progress to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical‑path deliverables, in collaboration with the Project Scheduler and Site Manager
* Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff
* Establish, lead and coordinate a cross‑functional and interdisciplinary project organization for large projects – internal functions, EPC consortium partner, subcontractors and vendors
* Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences including project team, sponsors and key stakeholders
* Coordinate service staff, contractors, consortium partner, vendors and sub‑suppliers at construction site
* Leverage project‑execution know‑how from other functions and cooperate with them; develop tools and best practices for project management and execution
* Negotiate scope changes commercially and technically during project execution
* Manage continuous project quality control and participate in quality issue resolution together with the project quality function
Your Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical)
* 10+ years of professional experience in the relevant industry
* 10+ years of project‑management experience in executing complex customer projects
* Experience executing new‑unit orders in the range of 20–50 Mio USD
* Ability to act in an interdisciplinary environment with diverse expertise
* Demonstrated external focus and inclusiveness
* Willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis
* Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial awareness skills
* Experience influencing and gaining buy‑in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
* Excellent German and English (writing and speaking)
* Good communication skills with people on construction site as well as at the executive level
* Team player with strong ability to motivate people
* Self‑starter mentality and ability to work independently
* Excellent business understanding and strong leadership skills for managing onsite teams
