More precisely, in this role you will:
* Lead a software development team and drive the evolution of existing legacy platforms toward more modern, scalable, and highly available solutions
* Act as a key interface between engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders (IT, compliance, procurement, etc.)
* Coordinate delivery priorities, releases, and technical initiatives across multiple stakeholders
* Contribute to the longer-term technical direction of the systems you own
* Foster a healthy engineering culture with a focus on quality, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
What does the perfect candidate look like?
* Solid background in software development with hands‑on coding experience
* 5+ years of experience in a team leadership or engineering management role (not necessarily large‑scale executive leadership)
* Experience working with systems that require high availability
* Good understanding of software architecture and system design decisions
* Experience working with cross‑functional teams and delivering complex technical projects
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with engineers and stakeholders alike
* Structured thinking with a practical, delivery‑oriented mindset
* Fluent German (C1 or higher), some English is a plus
