Qualifications, Experience and Language skills
1. Advanced University degree in languages or in a technical or scientific field. University degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced university degree.
2. A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience, of which at least four should have been with an international organization, public sector or non-profit organization or equivalent. Experience in revising the work of other translators is essential.
3. Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office software and Computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, in particular Trados Studio and Multiterm.
4. Experience in supervising small teams of translators would be an asset.
5. Russian as mother tongue or principle language of education with a profound knowledge of its grammar, style and usage. Very thorough knowledge of English is essential.
6. Additional scientific or technical studies or work experience in a scientific or technical field would be an asset.
7. Excellent oral and written command of English and Russian. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish) is an asset.
Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $77326 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 44772 *, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
