About our client
Our client is a specialised industrialpany with international operations. To support its continued growth and strategic development, the organisation is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive leadership team. The position is based in the greater Linz area of Austria. What the job involves
1. Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, contributing to thepany's long-term direction, financial planning, and performance monitoring
2. Lead all financial operations including group-wide financial planning, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, reporting, and controlling
3. Prepare and present consolidated financial statements (HGB and IFRS), ensuringpliance with regulations and financialernance standards
4. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to ensure transparent and credible financialmunication
5. Oversee external and internal audit processes, taxpliance, and corporateernance practices
6. Ensure a robust risk management and internal control framework is in place and continuously improved
7. Drive digital transformation and process optimisation across finance, with a focus on scalability and efficiency
8. Manage capital allocation, oversee debt and liquidity management, and ensure optimal capital structure in line with shareholder expectations
9. Lead and develop a small, highly skilled finance team in a collaborative, non-hierarchical manner
10. Represent thepany confidently to banks, auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders
11. Support business decision-making with strong financial analysis, scenario modelling, and operational KPIs
12. Play a key role in M&A activities, strategic projects, and cross-functional initiatives
Who we are looking for
13. Outstanding academic background in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline
14. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent financial certification is a plus
15. Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within an industrial or engineering-orientedpany
16. Proven expertise in financial reporting
17. Strong grasp of internal controls, risk management systems, and regulatory frameworks
18. Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to build trust and foster team engagement in a lean organisational environment
19. Excellent interpersonal andmunication skills; confident public speaker and trusted representative to investors, banks, and analysts
20. High degree of integrity, discretion, and a results-oriented mindset
21. Strategic thinker with the ability to operate at both executive and operational levels
22. Proficient in MS Office and ideally familiar with financial consolidation tools ( LucaNet, SAP, or similar)
23. Fluent in German (working language) and English (reporting language) at a professional level
