Overview
Project Manager coordinates project implementation of the ICMPD\'s flagship initiative on establishment and maintenance of the Ukrainian Community and Consultations Centres, in particular, in Sweden. Currently more than 4 million Ukrainian displaced persons received temporary protection in the European Union. To cover the needs of the displaced persons related to their legal status in EU, integration in local communities, as well as to prepare for potential return and reintegration, ICMPD, in cooperation with its Member States, established several Ukrainian Community and Consultation Centres (UCCC) in EU MS. The position of the Project Manager is being established to coordinate implementation of the UCCC-related initiative in Sweden, direct and supervise provision of consultations and organisation of other activities in UCCC, as well as support further expansion of the UCCCs network. The Project Manager works closely with stakeholders in Sweden and Ukraine, as well as coordinates project implementation with other ICMPD\'s project managers working on similar issues in other EU MS.
The Project Manager position is established in EECA Regional Office in Vienna; s/he works under the overall supervision of the Regional Portfolio Manager.
For this post knowledge of English language is required, knowledge of Ukrainian language is an asset. In addition, experience of working with Ukrainian displaced people and knowledge on Ukrainian diaspora engagement practices and methods is an asset.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate implementation of the UCCC-related initiative in Sweden and direct supervision of consultations and activities within UCCC.
* Organise and oversee provision of consultations and related activities in UCCC; support expansion of the UCCC network.
* Collaborate with stakeholders in Sweden and Ukraine and coordinate with ICMPD project managers working on similar issues in other EU member states.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Knowledge of English is required; knowledge of Ukrainian language is an asset.
* Experience with Ukrainian displaced people and knowledge of Ukrainian diaspora engagement practices and methods is an asset.
Location
EECA Regional Office in Vienna; reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager.
