Senior Director Medical Affairs (m/f/d)
Aufgaben | Responsibilities
1. Oversight of the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for the country based on deep understanding of global, regional and local opportunities and requirements
2. Creating and maintaining a high performing, highly compliant Medical Affairs organization
3. Representing local opportunities, requirements and needs at the regional and/or global levels
4. Representing our company in external activities requiring the presence of the country’s Senior Medical Leader
5. Coordinating with the country’s cross-functional teams to ensure well-functioning interactions between our company and externalin-country stakeholders
6. Managing the entire portfolio for our company, allocating resources balancing global and local priorities
7. Building on existing capabilities through internal development and external hiring in addition to creating an empowering, compliant, collaborative, and innovation-focused work environment
8. Managing the medical aspects of submissions for reimbursement or tenders for our company’s entire portfolio of medicines and Vaccines
Anforderungen | Qualifications
9. M.D. degree required
10. MPH, Ph.D., MBA, degree in Health Administration or Economics is seen as a plus
11. Proven experience in global biopharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development
12. Solid people management experience running a large matrix organization of healthcare professionals
13. Experience in one of the following fields: Oncology (strong plus), Infectious Diseases Treatment, Vaccines, or Specialty care
14. Strong leadership skills, demonstrated effective organizational skills, including ability to set goals and align priorities
15. Business acumen, ethics and credible reputation with the external scientific community
16. Ability to simplify and convey complex concepts and strategies, orally and in writing
17. Strong presentation skills
18. Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in addressing strategic challenges
19. Possessing an entrepreneurial mindset; capability of thinking out of the box and taking measured risks
20. Experience working in global and regional medical affairs functions
