Job Description
Salomon is seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Manager to lead and execute our integrated marketing strategy for Winter Sports Equipment (WSE) across Austria and Germany. As the local marketing lead, you’ll ensure the successful implementation of global brand initiatives while adapting them to local market needs. This is a unique opportunity to drive brand growth, consumer engagement, and sales performance in two key markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of the local omnichannel marketing strategy and manage the WSE marketing budget.
* Align seasonal marketing plans with the local Market Manager and the global brand/category teams.
* Ensure seamless execution of the consumer experience toolbox across digital, retail, and community platforms.
* Drive initiatives to engage the professional community through the Salomon Performance Center (SPC) in Austria and Germany.
* Oversee racing programs in Alpine and Nordic disciplines and support local Snowboard initiatives.
* Support the Key Account team in building and delivering strong value propositions.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Sales, D2C, Retail, Brand, Merchandising) and external partners (agencies, media, athletes).
Qualifications
* 6–10 years of marketing and communications experience, in the sports or outdoor industry.
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
* Proven ability to manage and develop teams and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
* Strong understanding of sports distribution channels: B2B, D2C, brick & mortar, e-tailers, and specialty stores.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strategic, analytical mindset with a consumer-first approach.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytics tools; Ariba knowledge is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly across the region and to HQ (Annecy, France)
