Our client is a global medical device company providing reconstructive and custom-made Orthopaedic solutions to surgeons who face the challenges of improving their patients' quality of life.
For the subsidiary in Austria, based in Vienna, they are looking for a motivated and agile Finance Manager who, reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer and working with the General Manager of the Country, will supervise and validate all finance data concerning the progress of the company’s Austria processes.
Major Accountabilities:
* Contribute to the budgeting process of the subsidiary and support/monitor corporate functions assigned
* Provide periodic and ad hoc reports for the benefit of the corporate functions under his/her responsibility
* Manage processes related to the financial year-end, including preparation of financial statements for the Group and each responsibility area
* Present analyses on deviations between final statements and budget, identifying causes of variance
* Manage accounts payable and oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring complete and accurate record of all money flows
* Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the accounting system, including A/R, A/P, fixed assets, cash, banks, payroll, inventory, and accruals
* Manage registration of accounting documents, such as reconciling invoices with purchase orders
* Handle company cash and bank management, including payments and bank reconciliations
* Coordinate and communicate with internal departments
* Oversee payroll processing, including salary disbursement, hiring, terminations, leaves management, and reporting
* Prepare payroll and HR information, ensuring accuracy and record maintenance
* Provide advisory on payroll issues, resolve inquiries, and implement corrective actions
* Monitor contractual maturities and manage related documentation
* Assist in meeting legislative and statutory obligations through reports and documentation
* Prepare and distribute sales and brand reports, along with ad hoc reports as needed
* Finalize year-end financial statements, coordinate external audits, and ensure statutory compliance
* Ensure tax compliance, including timely tax declarations and payments
* Ensure compliance with fiscal duties, including electronic invoicing
* Participate in special projects, such as make vs buy analysis and business price/mix analysis
* Implement group policies and procedures
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or degree, preferably in Economics or Accounting, with at least 5 years of administrative experience in structured manufacturing companies.
