Employee Benefits Underwriter performs underwriting in specific Lines of Business (LOB) with the clear goal to establish a profitable corporate business portfolio, based on sound underwriting skills, focused on the needs of our clients, contributing to increase the companies’ assets.
This is what you can expect - major tasks and responsibility:
* Approval of referred business cases from countries / decision rights according to the authority level
* Improvement and development of Underwriting tools, processes and standards
* Supporting of local units
* Steering and development of the portfolio to enable profitable growth
* Implementation and development of new products and services (for Employee Benefits Lines)
* Supporting UCB (LOB) Manager in all accountabilities
* Know-how transfer to local Corporate Business unit
* Supervision of compliance and regular updates of Corporate Business LOB Underwriting Standard
* Participation in projects
* Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate business with focus on Employee Benefits LoBs
* Basic knowledge of underwriting tools
* Knowledge in handling of international corporate accounts
* Understanding of international (re)insurance standards
* Analytical skills to identify exposures and handling them professionally
* Excellent command of English as a company language (German language is an advantage) and familiarity with the respective terminology
