I am supporting a global semiconductor equipment manufacturer that is expanding both its strategic customer engagement in Asia and the rollout of a new, highly competitive process platform. As part of this growth, the organisation is hiring an Engineering Project Manager to take ownership of technically complex programs and high‑value customer relationships with global reach.
This role offers exceptional visibility across engineering, software, process, and sales teams, alongside direct engagement with tier‑one semiconductor customers across Asia, the US, and Europe.
The Role
As Engineering Project Manager, you will act as a central coordination point for both key customer programs and new technology platforms, managing complexity across machines, software, and process scope.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the primary interface for strategic semiconductor customers, beneficially across Asian regions
* Coordinating between regional customer‑facing teams and European‑based engineering and development groups
* Managing end‑to‑end engineering projects spanning equipment, software, and process improvements
* Leading issue resolution, escalation management, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Supporting the execution and industrialisation of a new, highly competitive process platform
* Coordinating large, matrix‑driven project teams with dozens of internal stakeholders
* Balancing customer urgency with internal feasibility, prioritisation, and resource constraints
* Ensuring clear communication across engineering, R&D, software, process, and sales functions
* Driving execution in a fast‑changing, competitive semiconductor market
* Providing transparency on timelines, risks, and delivery status to senior stakeholders
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
* A mandatory background in semiconductor equipment project management
* Strong customer‑facing experience, ideally managing key accounts or regional interfaces
* Exposure to front‑end semiconductor equipment and/or process‑driven platforms
* Solid understanding of semiconductor processes (e.g. bonding, thermal compression, or related areas)
* Experience coordinating large, matrix‑based engineering organisations
* Confidence handling escalations, ambiguity, and rapidly changing priorities
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across cultures and functions
* A proactive, resilient working style suited to environments with evolving structures
* Fluency in English; additional Asian languages are a plus
