Responsibilities
* Partnership Development: Ability to ensure visibility and impact in programme and project design and implementation.
* Programme Management: Ability to ensure programme focus on the achievement of development goals by encouraging and promoting capacity development and sustainability of TC programme results.
* Strengthening Institutional Capacity for Sustainability and Self‑Reliance: Ability to promote a strategic results focus in programme/project design, monitoring and implementation while also applying needs‑based approaches to programming by leveraging the IAEA's comparative advantage.
* Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries: Demonstrated ability to develop and promote strategic, financial and technical partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders in the public and private sector, the UN development and NGO communities.
Qualifications, Experience and Language Skills
Bachelor's Degree – First level university degree in management, social sciences, science and technology, or international relations plus two years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the Advanced university degree.
Master's Degree – Advanced university degree in management, social sciences, science and technology, or international relations. Additional background in development studies is an advantage.
At least 10 years of experience in the development and management of TC programmes, preferably in developing countries and in technology fields; experience in related nuclear field is an asset.
Proven experience in managing large teams and projects, including building, leading and developing cohesive teams, determining clear goals, roles and responsibilities, providing feedback on performance and encouraging staff development.
Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Remuneration
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax‑free annual net base salary starting at US $101,540 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance) and a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $55,339.
