The impact you’ll make At Lam, as a Supply Chain Business Manager, you play a crucial role in partnering with suppliers to drive operational excellence. Your data‑driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through our dynamic global production cycle. You’ll benchmark and monitor supplier performance to manage risk. By driving continuous supplier process improvements you support the productivity and efficiency of Lam's operations.
What you’ll do work continuously on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., Consignment, JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies
encourage and coordinate early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers’ expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability
establish goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meet forecasted demand
act as an escalation point to resolve shortages
represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams that focus on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied
work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems, to ensure on time delivery of critical material in order to support customer and company requirements
develop presentations, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects
Who we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
5+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, managing global suppliers on direct & indirect materials and services
Strong Knowledge on Purchasing agreements and contracting
Enough experience on development, management and improvement of supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment and Leadtime
Familiarity with semiconductor or high‑technology supply management practices, standards and organization would be a plus!
Creative thinking and strong problem‑solving capabilities and solid analytical skills
Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
Solid written/oral communication skills in English with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executive
Excellent Skills in MS Office, ERP familiarity (SAP experience will be a plus)
What We're Offering This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
