Your new adventure
As a Senior Simulation Engineer at BRP‑Rotax, you will design, develop and optimize data driven and hybrid models of all our products. Your task is to evaluate and optimize powertrain concepts with regards to fuel consumption, drivability or vibration levels and thereby support the product development processes. Also, you will design and support structured test plans using DoE methodologies to efficiently explore system behavior, sensitivities, and parameter interactions.
You will collaborate closely with system & calibration engineers, test teams and domain experts to translate real‑world test data into robust and scalable models and to provide sophisticated technical input to our product development.
Perform concept evaluations and analyze drivetrain performance
Build data based models which suits to the task with the right level of fidelity
Perform data preparation, processing, and analysis of simulation inputs and outputs
Integrate models into embedded systems and simulation environments
Align the simulation strategy with peers, project teams, and technical leadership
Present simulation outcomes and recommendations to project stakeholders
Prepare clear and structured technical documentation and simulation reports
Your Skills And Experiences
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Data science or a comparable field with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
Solid understanding of automotive systems and sensor data
Strong experience with data-driven modeling and machine learning (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks, time-series models)
Knowledge of hybrid modeling approaches combining physics-based and data-driven methods
Experience with model validation, cross-validation, and performance metrics in terms of drivetrain evaluation
Very good knowledge of AVL Cameo or similar software tool
Solid experience working with INCA datasets and calibration‑related measurement data
Good knowledge of 1D simulation tools such as GTPower or Simulation X would be an asset
Structured and solution-oriented mindset with excellent analytical skills
Fluency in English

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 64,829.96 gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer an attractive and performance-related salary with corresponding overpayment.
