1. Develop and implement a global sourcing strategy for polyolefins, taking into account market trends, price developments, and regional requirements.
2. Select, evaluate, and further develop strategic supplier partnerships, and lead international contract and price negotiations.
3. Manage projects to optimize costs, supply security, quality, and innovation.
4. Analyze global raw material markets and relevant indices (, ICIS) and prepare reports for global leadership.
5. Identify value creation opportunities through alternative raw materials, new technologies, or process improvements.
6. Ensure stable global raw material supply, including active risk management.
7. Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to operationalize the procurement strategy.
8. Support sustainability and ESG goals through responsible, future-oriented procurement.
What makes you great
9. Completed degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field.
10. At least 5 years of experience in procurement or category management, ideally in the plastics, chemical, or manufacturing industry.
11. Solid knowledge of polyolefins or other polymers and an understanding of relevant value chains.
12. Strong analytical skills and experience working with global market indices.
13. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a confident presence in an international work environment.
14. Proficient in modern procurement tools (, SAP Ariba, Coupa) and digital analytics tools.
15. A role based at our headquarters in Hard (Austria) is preferred due to the need for regular on-site presence and collaboration with global stakeholders, though partial remote work may be considered depending on the candidate's profile.
