Passion for Data? And for Analytics? Check this out!
Our Global Advanced Analytics Enablement Program, Business Analyst 2.0, empowers a wide community of analysts across all departments and countries to unlock value through impactful analytics products, enabled by highly granular and diversely accessible data, technological empowerment, capability up-skill, and collaboration.
As the Global Data team, we lead this rapidly expanding multi-year program and are seeking a new Advanced Analytics Expert and Project Manager to support its growth. This role'll be crucial in transforming our approach to analytics and enhancing the value we derive from it in the coming years.
Assist business analysts in the Analytics Enablement program in developing valuable analyses and reports by enriching data, advancing technology, upgrading skills, and fostering direct collaboration. A key focus area will be data. The ideal candidate will support business analysts by designing and building data pipelines to extract data from various sources, load it into our Snowflake-developed data cloud platform, transform it once loaded, making data readily available for analysis. Similarly important, though less frequent, will be the research, discovery, identification and validation of new valuable data sources to be made available to business analysts and data scientists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas that play to your strengths
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
1. Assist business analysts across all departments and markets in developing impactful analytics products, guiding them from ideation through proof of concept and value to scalable assets. This involves helping them solve business challenges using advanced analytics methodologies, techniques, and tools. Emphasis will be placed on data acquisition and preprocessing, requiring the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines in line with best practices in data architecture. The support will also extend to developing use-case scripts capable of being transformed into broadly accessible applications
2. Research, discover and identify new valuable (external) data sources. Additionally, validate their quality/scalability through solid analysis and prove their value through relevant business cases. Finally, independently lead the data provisioning projects when needed, in cooperation with IT project managers and development teams.
3. Co-lead our global advanced analytics enablement programme (currently 400 analysts) and take direct responsibility for community management as needed. Serve as a data ambassador for the Global Data team, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization by leading regular knowledge exchanges and presenting at global meetings. Design, prepare, and deliver global training sessions when necessary.
4. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a data professional (e.g. data engineer, data scientist) or in a business/IT consulting position
5. Strong and proven knowledge in SQL and database cloud solutions, ideally Snowflake, combined with proficiency in standard data architecture design and modelling.
6. Expertise in using Python and Git/Github is expected; familiarity with PySpark and Snowpark will be a strong plus
7. Experience in creating interactive web apps (e.g., using Streamlit or RShiny) and knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI are beneficial
8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
9. Team-player and collaborative (“copy-left” vs “copyright”).
10. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work on different projects in parallel.
11. Travel 0-10%
