About EIBIR
European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non‑profit founded in 2006 by the European Society of Radiology (ESR). It coordinates and facilitates biomedical imaging research activities. We support scientists with calls for proposals, project management, dissemination, training services and networking among the biomedical imaging research community.
Position
We are looking for a full‑time (38.5h) Project Manager to complement our existing team in Vienna.
Tasks
* Managing European research projects in biomedical imaging
* Monitoring and analysing European research funding schemes (such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, EU4Health, IHI) and calls for proposals of potential interest to EIBIR, preparing this information for EIBIR’s network
* Supporting the EIBIR network in defining new projects and coordinating the preparation of research proposals for European funding
* Communication and PR activities to improve the visibility of EIBIR among the scientific community (editorial work for website, media work, etc.)
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with network members, industry partners, and stakeholders
* Editorial and dissemination work for EIBIR’s ongoing research projects
* Coordinating and managing EIBIR’s congress appearances and representing EIBIR at events
* Supporting the management of EIBIR’s Boards and Joint Initiatives
Requirements
* Excellent command of English language (at least C1) – additional EU languages are a plus
* University degree in life sciences, health management, political science or similar beneficial
* First experience (2–4 years) in EU research project management or proposal preparation
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of EU funding mechanisms and/or European health research landscape beneficial
* Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
* Ability to work independently, proactively and to adapt to evolving project needs and challenges
* Willingness to occasionally travel to project meetings

The monthly gross salary for this job vacancy is at least € 2,900 (14 times per year), with willingness to offer higher compensation depending on qualifications and experience.
