In order to achieve this, we are looking to enhance our ICT team with You - an experienced, hands‑on and cross‑thinking professional with the ability to in‑depth assume and further develop the IT / OT / Digital Product & Service landscape in the challenging technical setting of a Global Market leader in the Industrial field in order to leverage the full potential of the organization and its technical & process abilities together with the Business. In this function you are part of Global ICT and report directly to the Head of Cyber Security & Architecture. You combine your technological and modeling competencies and are hands‑on responsible for matching information technology with business requirements and designing systems and solutions in order to best‑possible support the achievement of PALFINGER's business goals.
YOUR TASKS
* Design and maintain a modular, scalable, and future‑oriented enterprise architecture that guides technical implementation
* Continuously improve architecture processes, tools, and documentation across infrastructure and application layers (e.g., CMDB, EA Suite, IT Discovery
* Translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables and technical work packages to support solution implementatio
* Collaborate and align with architects, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure architectural consistency and strategic fit
* Drive innovation through research, proof‑of‑concepts, and the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
* Educational foundation: At least a Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field a Master's degree is preferre
* Proven experience: Minimum of 3 years in IT architecture or technical architecture, including the design of complex on‑premises, cloud, and cloud‑native solutions; candidates from technical domains aspiring to move into architecture are also encouraged.
* Practical knowledge: Solid experience in IT management areas such as project delivery, requirements analysis, operations, architecture governance, and security management
* Familiarity with frameworks and tools: Understanding of architecture design patterns, frameworks, and notations (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, NIST, ArchiMate), as well as hands‑on experience with Enterprise Architecture tools, SAP Architecture, ServiceNow or Azure Cloud Services.
* Strong communication and innovation skills: Excellent command of English (German a plus) with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and stay up to date with technology trends and best practices

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 53 241,02 based on full‑time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market‑conforming overpayment.
