The Finance Manager will oversee all financial, accounting, and tax-related activities for the company’s EU entity. This role ensures compliance with local statutory requirements, supports business operations, and provides accurate financial reporting to regional and global management. The Finance Manager will act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
What you'll do
* Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing processes for the EU entity.
* Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local GAAP.
* Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
* Maintain the general ledger and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
* Prepare management reports, variance analyses, and financial KPIs.
* Coordinate with group finance on consolidation and intercompany transactions.
2. Tax Compliance & Planning
* Ensure full compliance with EU and local country corporate tax, VAT/GST, payroll tax, and other statutory requirements.
* Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities on tax filings, audits, and queries.
* Monitor changes in EU tax regulations and assess financial implications.
* Support tax planning, transfer pricing documentation, and compliance with BEPS requirements.
* Review VAT treatment for cross-border transactions and ensure correct reporting.
3. Audit & Internal Controls
* Manage statutory audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
* Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
* Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
* Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in compliance with regulatory rules.
4. Business Support
* Provide financial insights to support business decisions and strategic planning.
* Partner with operations, sales, and HQ finance teams on budgeting and forecasting.
* Support finance-related projects, system improvements, and process automation.
5. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with EU company law, accounting standards, and reporting obligations.
* Coordinate statutory filings, annual returns, and corporate secretarial matters (if needed).
What you’ll need
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred.
* Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting and tax, ideally within an EU jurisdiction.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP
* Solid understanding of EU VAT, corporate income tax, and cross‑border tax regulations.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders across regions.
* High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience
* Experience with transfer pricing documentation or BEPS compliance.
