Job Description:
The main purpose of the internship is to support the work of the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section while gaining practical work experience in the field of outreach and communication, and web-based training. The internship provides opportunities to gain skills in the creation, management and promotion of the content to publicise the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section activities. The candidate will contribute to the development and promotion of communication activities in radiation protection area.
Functions / Key Results Expected
Support the organization and promotion of online webinars in different topics in radiation protection
Assist in collecting statistics and contribute to the analysis of webinars' impact in Member States
Assist with the development and content management of the Radiation Protection of Patients' website, newsletter and social media channels, and other webpages in radiation safety
Support the development of web-based education and training activities in radiation protection, and the corresponding outreach materials, in English and other UN languages
Assist with creating content to publicise the work, events and publications of the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section
Qualifications and Experience
University degree in communications, international relations or a related field.
Experience with social media (Asset)
Ability to comprehend technical content (such as radiation protection) (Asset)
Experience with Adobe suite such as Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator and InDesign, and/or e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline (Asset)
Applicant Eligibility
Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree.
Candidates may apply up to one year after the completion of a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree.
Candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.
Good written and spoken English essential; fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset.
Candidates must attach two signed letters of recommendation to their application.
