About Us
EB Research Institute GmbH is a non‑profit biotechnology institute based in Salzburg, Austria. It is a joint venture between DEBRA Austria and Salzburg University Hospital. Our institute focuses on translational research and development with the goal of improving the lives of patients suffering from Epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin disease also known as \"butterfly disease\". Through innovative scientific approaches, we aim to accelerate the development of effective therapies and improve clinical outcomes for affected individuals.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Scientific Associate with strong expertise in omics data analysis and a solid background in statistics, coding, and molecular biology. In this role, you will contribute to the generation, integration, and interpretation of multi‑omics datasets, including single‑cell and bulk RNA sequencing data, supporting our efforts in target identification, validation, and biomarker discovery. Your work will directly contribute to advancing our preclinical programs toward clinical development.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and laboratory organization.
Prepare media, buffers, and reagents for experimental work.
Plan, perform, and analyze in vitro and in vivo experiments within ongoing research projects.
Conduct experiments and independent sub‑projects following initial training and established protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results.
Contribute to the implementation and optimization of new experimental methods and technologies.
Profil
Master's degree (MSc) in Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related life‑sciences discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong understanding and hands‑on experience
