MissionX
MissionX is our 3GPP‑MCS‑compliant product portfolio for mission‑critical communications for public safety authorities and organisations (PPDR) such as police, fire brigades, emergency medical services, or border control. The portfolio offers secure and resilient broadband push‑to‑talk, data, and video services over 4G and 5G communication systems, representing the evolution of traditional digital radio solutions (e.g. TETRA).
Role Overview
As a Product Manager in the Mission‑Critical Services (3GPP MCS) domain, you are responsible for the operational management and further development of our products and act as the central interface between market, technology, and business. You translate customer and market requirements into concrete product, roadmap, and lifecycle decisions and ensure their implementation in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. A key success factor is pursuing a clear roadmap strategy for strategic projects, major tenders, and key topics.
Key Tasks
* Collecting and aligning requirements from Sales and conducting gap analyses.
* Responsible for the product roadmap, quality gates, and release approvals, including commercial aspects such as licensing models.
* Managing the product lifecycle, backlog, and lifecycle management.
* Close collaboration with system architects, requirements engineers, test managers, system engineering, sales, and other stakeholders.
* Coordinating and aligning the content of multiple development teams with different working methods and development cycles.
* Acting as the central point of contact for product‑related topics across R&D, delivery, sales, and logistics.
* Collaboration with other business segments (Public Safety and Public Transport) and close alignment with respective product managers to synchronize product roadmaps.
* Responsible for licensing costs as well as budget planning, monitoring, and regular reporting to management.
Key Qualifications
* At least five years of professional experience in product management, product development, or technical project management.
* Certificate in product management, preferably with experience in a technology‑driven company.
* Experience with Atlassian tools (JAMA, JIRA, Confluence) is an advantage.
* Strong customer, user, and service orientation.
* Fluent in English; good German and Spanish skills are an advantage.
* Intercultural competence and the ability to successfully lead virtual teams.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence relevant stakeholders.
