We are now looking for a Category Manager with a strong background in electronics to join our Sourcing team. In this role, you will drive commercial strategy, build a competitive supplier base, and ensure we secure the best possible commercial and operational performance within your assigned categories. The position can be based either in Arnoldstein (Austria), where our Power Assistant product R&D and manufacturing are located, or at our headquarters in Stockholm (Sweden).
Your key responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies and budget activities aligned with KPIs and commercial targets.
* Define, qualify, and develop a supplier base that supports our electronics categories (batteries, PCBs, motors, cables) and potentially additional categories.
* Analyze and negotiate cost elements, ensuring that raw material prices meet or outperform market trends.
* Lead contract creation, approval, and administration in line with group processes.
* Identify and drive technical and commercial improvements to reduce component and product cost.
* Collaborate closely with Project Buyers, Quality, Logistics, and other internal stakeholders to ensure aligned commercial strategy and operational excellence.
* Act as Etac's ambassador toward external partners, building strong, value-driven relationships.
* Promote and propose sustainable solutions throughout the category scope.
You will be part of an international sourcing organization of Category Managers based in Poland, Denmark and Sweden. You will report to our Strategic Purchasing Director, Kemal Stark.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires occasional travel (10-20%).
Your profile
* Minimum 5 years of solid experience in category management, complemented by in-depth technical knowledge of electronics components— preferably within batteries and battery systems.
* Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing footprint, component cost drivers, -materials, - compliance, -quality, and -safety.
* Experience in contract negotiation, project management, and supplier relationship management.
* Relevant university degree in engineering.
* Fluent in English; German or Italian is an advantage in Austria; Swedish in Sweden.
* Proficient in Excel; experience with M3 is beneficial.
