YTB Plumbing are nationally recognized, award winning civil connection specialists. Local to the Gold Coast we are the leading one-stop solution for all new and existing water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure. And we’re hiring a rockstar Operations Manager!
This role is about making things happen
Oversee the delivery of projects – from job award through to council compliance, QA, and final client wrap up – managing scheduling, permits, traffic control bookings, subcontractors, materials, and job set up handover notes.
This means living and breathing each job, staying four steps ahead, noticing small details others miss, keeping everything organised, and ensuring crews win on site – while clients get a world class experience.
Key responsibilities:
· Organise projects – permits, traffic control, scheduling, QA, compliance, client follow-up
· Manage subcontractors, materials, and a rolling 4-week schedule
· Liaise with builders, engineers, council officers, and our site crew daily
· Prep job notes, flag risks early, and ensure site crews have what they need
· Recognise wins, support the team, and report to the Director

What we’re looking for
We want someone with an overall winner’s attitude, not just an impressive resume. Someone who’s disciplined, proactive, and thrives on making things run like clockwork.
Key attributes include:
Civil infrastructure background (water/sewer/stormwater). This could be in engineering, project management, council inspections, or site supervision. Experience could be either in office or in the field.
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
Highly tech-savvy and fast on the computer (we use ServiceM8, MS Office, Xero and other cloud-based tools).
Ability to read/interpret construction plans and specification documentation.
Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and always thinking 4 steps ahead.
· Disciplined/methodical approach to work – planning, action and follow up.
Positive, well presented, professional, and friendly + strong team player.
High attention to detail (include ‘HATD’ at the bottom of your cover letter to prove it).
Good with conflict resolution and problem solving.
Great at connecting with people and building strong relationships.
· Confident enough to follow a system and experienced enough to improve it.
Highly desirable:
Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or similar field.
Solid and relevant industry relationships.
Knowledge of SEQ & Gold Coast Water & Waste standards/codes.
