The Role
You will ensure that an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service is provided to the Multidisciplinary Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City HSCP. The team includes managerial, psychology, nursing and occupational therapy staff. The role involves supporting day‑to‑day administrative functions and contributing to the smooth operation of the wider administrative team. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements.
Duration, Location and Working Pattern
* This is a permanent position working full time hours (36)
* Hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, 36 hours over five days; shift pattern to be confirmed
* You will be based at 12 Sandy Road, Glasgow G11 6HE
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Multidisciplinary Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services. Duties include reception, acting as a key point of contact for service users, staff and external agencies, independently managing calls and emails, processing referrals and enquiries through a single point of access, and ensuring accurate data input and maintenance on relevant systems. Responsibilities also include record management, general typing duties and supporting the wider Administrative Team with a range of administrative functions. Provide administrative cover across services as required to ensure continuity of service delivery.
Knowledge, Training and Experience Required
* Must show competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification such as ECDL
* Must show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems, either through formal training or work experience
* Should be willing to participate in short courses or more formal training opportunities to improve skill level, e.g. through achievement of SVQ in Administration at Level 2 or 3
* Requires good command of verbal and written English
* Requires knowledge of organisation and department gained through prior experience within the organisation, induction or short period of orientation
* Will have an ongoing requirement to have a personal development plan agreed with the manager which will include participation in training and development
