The Company
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Operations Manager to lead and manage all aspects of Manufacturing, Maintenance, Capital Engineering, and Warehousing/Logistics. As a key member of our leadership team, you will focus on compliance, continuous improvement, and Workplace Health & Safety, driving best practices to optimize operational performance, safety, and product quality. Your leadership will also empower and support the entire business through this exciting growth phase.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, your role will be responsible for:
1. Supporting and leading operations teams across production, maintenance, warehouse & dispatch, sustainability, and safety to achieve/exceed KPIs and deliver on productivity targets and operational improvements.
2. Developing and implementing strategies to scale operations in line with company growth, empowering and supporting direct reports to meet increasing operational demands.
3. Anticipating future needs and developing plans to address growing site installation projects.
4. Leading, motivating, and engaging teams across manufacturing, engineering, and procurement to achieve individual, team, and site objectives.
5. Fostering a culture of business improvement to ensure continuous results and performance enhancement.
6. Promoting a safety-first culture across the site, ensuring WH&S processes are in place, including induction, training, and safety programs.
7. Developing, tracking, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) including labour optimization, overtime, OEE, throughput rates, and inventory.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience (5+ years) in a Site Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role in food manufacturing or FMCG.
* A degree qualification in Engineering or senior-level manufacturing operations leadership experience.
* Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
* A track record of driving positive cultural change and fostering a collaborative, engaged, and accountable workplace culture.
* Experience in managing capital projects or commissioning new equipment/facilities is a plus.
* Strong continuous improvement background with good grasp of methodologies such as LEAN / Six Sigma and 5Y problem-solving tools.
* Good commercial acumen, able to understand and manage finances with the ability to identify key cost drivers in a fast-paced food plant.
* Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
