As a Business Development Manager on our team at COPA-DATA, you’ll play a key role in growing and strengthening our manufacturing business partner ecosystem across North and South America. Based at our headquarters in Salzburg, you’ll act as a strategic bridge between our local partners and global operations. With your international mindset and hands‑on approach, you’ll help us build lasting partnerships in the manufacturing sector and drive success across the region. You’ll combine industry expertise in Manufacturing with a growing understanding of our zenon software platform to help regional teams and partners identify opportunities and deliver customer value.
Business Development Manager Manufacturing – Americas (m/f/d)
Your tasks
* Manage and develop COPA-DATA’s representative organization in Brazil, ensuring alignment with regional sales, marketing, and partner objectives across the Americas.
* Develop and execute energy‑sector business and partner strategies aligned with both our global goals and the regional growth priorities of the Americas.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with system integrators and key accounts.
* Identify and onboard new partners that align with our long‑term strategy.
* Monitor energy market trends, grid modernization programs, and digitalization initiatives to adapt regional strategy.
* Coordinate partner initiatives and industry projects to ensure impactful delivery and visible business outcomes.
* Support sales teams with manufacturing‑industry insights, value propositions, and competitive positioning during sales pursuits.
* Coordinate communication, forecasting, and strategic planning between COPA-DATA USA Corp. and the representative organization in Brazil to strengthen regional consistency and visibility.
* Collaborate with internal Industry and Product Management to translate energy‑sector needs into solution content and go‑to‑market initiatives.
* Gather and share intelligence on manufacturers, OEMs, and automation partners to inform regional strategy.
What you bring to the team
* You’ve got a technical or business background – maybe you started as an engineer and moved into sales.
* You have solid experience in business development, partner or account management – ideally in a software‑driven environment.
* You have hands‑on experience or a strong interest in the Manufacturing Industry, including Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Automotive, or Machinery & Equipment.
* You’re familiar with industrial automation, digitalization, or software platforms – or quick to learn.
* You’re a confident communicator and comfortable working across cultures.
* You speak English and Spanish fluently; Portuguese is a plus.
* You have experience managing representative or partner organizations across multiple countries, which is a strong plus.
* You’re ready to travel internationally (at least 20%).
Depending on professional experience, this position is at least classified according to the IT collective agreement in ST1/entry level. The final gross salary is in line with the market and is based on your training, qualifications and experience.
This position is part of the Global sales / business development team.
