Here at ONE Early Education Group, we are creating a unique and robust educational program for our families and children to experience and for our educational team to drive. The Mickleham centre is a 118-place long day care centre, designed with 7 rooms.
The centre is looking for a Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor who is focused on building a genuine 'community of learners' underpinned by your substantial professional knowledge and personal leadership capabilities. In conjunction with the management team, you will work towards creating a knowledgeable, skillful, and committed team of professional educators; strong, meaningful relationships with families; supportive, nurturing, and individual relationships with children; and sound, reciprocal relationships with the broader community within which we exist.
You'll understand that early childhood education plays a critical part in creating the citizens of tomorrow—and you'll know and understand that our childcare environment needs to be a progressive, compassionate, and safe place for children to belong, be and become.
Our environment is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art learning environment. We implement a series of programs on top of the Early Years Learning Framework, including brain development, sports, mindfulness, and art/music programs.
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Previous experience as a director in a 90-place or higher centre is a MUST.
* Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Development, current Working with Children Check, First Aid, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis Certificates.
* Substantial experience working in an LDC environment with an understanding of the business aspects of centre performance.
* Your general business experience including administration, HR, organization, and time management skills will be well regarded.
* Demonstrated commitment to the early childhood education profession, including sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and its practical application in the LDC environment.
* Sound knowledge of early childhood education models, particularly the Early Years Learning Framework.
* Team leadership and relationship-building skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with CCMS/data bases and computer software skills including QK & Storypark (or a willingness to learn) is necessary.
