Overview
As part of our Software team, you will contribute to building and maintaining scalable software solutions with real-world impact for pets around the globe.
Responsibilities
* Develop innovative software solutions that have a real-world impact, helping millions of pets stay safe and connected around the globe
* Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, NoSQL databases, and AWS services
* Work with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and project needs
* Shape the overall architecture by working closely with senior team members and architects, ensuring robust design principles
* Promote quality in every aspect of development by implementing best practices in coding, design, and testing
* Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of learning
* Stay updated with new technologies and improve development processes
* Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better
* Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential
Your profile / Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science or related field
* 7+ Years of experience with Ruby on Rails & building scalable apps
* Proficient in NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) & AWS services (ECS, EC2, Fargate)
* Expert in RESTful APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker)
* Strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Fluency in English
