Group Lead Engineer – Fill & Finish
As Group Lead Engineer – Fill & Finish, you will lead the engineering strategy for Fill & Finish (F&F), ensuring alignment with global production, technical standards, and business goals. You will provide technical guidance, mentor teams, drive standardisation and innovation, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
* Represent Global Engineering in an engineering‑leading role for Fill and Finish activities in local investment projects
* Collaborate with local project Lead Engineers to assure deliverables for engineering and process design
* Establish and review design requirements
* Plan and develop process units and systems, including layouts and functional flows
* Establish and review project descriptions and process flow diagrams
* Coordinate design engineers of process equipment
* Implement Octapharma engineering concepts and standards into projects
* Compare technical and commercial solutions
* Ensure cGMP‑level compliance of proposed solutions and documentation
* Collaborate with corporate functions and local engineering to define strategic development of design solutions and standards, supporting company requirements for capacity, efficiency, etc.
* Support the transfer of standards to local sites and continue participation in further development
* Act as internal consulting/advisory/expert within the area of expertise across the organization
Qualifications & Expertise
* Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
* 10+ years of experience in engineering and new process implementation within the pharmaceutical industry
* Proven track record of project management and team leadership
* Strong leadership, strategic mindset, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and business insight
* Excellent communicator, capable of aligning, planning and driving results
* Proficiency in relevant software and project management tools; persistent, achievement‑oriented, curious, and innovative
Department and Impact
The corporate Technical Organization is overall technical responsible for the Group. It comprises the departments of Engineering, Maintenance and Automation, and the team is mainly responsible for strategic development and capacity development of the group. The function is crucial for sustainable operations and is continuously invested in for modernization and expansion. The department consists of 15 people, and you will report to the Group Director of Engineering.

Austria Wage (Legal)
For Austria, the minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for this position is EUR 4,270.14. The salary will be adapted to the scope of tasks and profile and may exceed the collective agreement.
