Would you like to gain hands‑on experience in cyber security and contribute to securing connected industrial products? Support our OT team in risk assessments, regulatory requirements, and security‑by‑design initiatives – and gain exciting insights into industrial cybersecurity. The position is planned as full‑time starting in July for the summer months and can be reduced to part‑time (up to 20 hours) at the beginning of the semester.
Job Description
* Collaboration in the preparation and execution of cybersecurity risk assessments for our products and platforms
* Support in analyzing requirements arising from NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and other regulatory frameworks
* Assistance in documenting and continuously improving security‑by‑design measures within the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
* Support in collaborating with R&D and Product Management in implementing standards such as IEC 62443
* Maintenance and monitoring of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs)
* Assistance with audits and the preparation of product security documentation (e.g., security profiles, compliance statements)
* Research, creation, and updating of technical guidelines and best practices
Qualifications
* Ongoing studies (FH/TU/University) in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Automation Engineering, or a comparable field
* Interest in cybersecurity in industrial environments as well as in standards and regulatory requirements (IEC 62443, NIS2, CRA)
* Basic knowledge of software development processes or security‑related practices (secure coding, threat modeling, etc.) is an advantage
* Initial experience or interest in topics such as open‑source component monitoring or SBOM management
* Very good written and spoken English skills
* Analytical mindset, structured way of working, and strong willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and strong communication skills when collaborating with various departments

We offer a fair and market‑aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €2750 (based on full‑time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
