Our annual financial reports are available on the ACNC website.About the PositionThe GPAP Board is the guarantor of the organisation’s integrity. Directors are appointed for a 3-year term, with an option to re-appoint for a second 3-year term.Key responsibilities include:Ensure GPAP’s mission is clear, relevant, and maintained as times change;Provide guidance for setting GPAP’s direction;Monitor GPAP’s programmes and activities to ensure alignment with mission and goals;Oversee executive performance by setting objectives and performance indicators for the CEO and reviewing performance;Ensure resources are obtained and used effectively to carry out GPAP’s mission;Ensure the adequacy and integrity of financial and other reporting and internal controls;Ensure robust risk identification and management systems;Comply with the ACNC Governance Standards.Directors must uphold fiduciary duties, act in good faith, avoid conflicts of interest, and exercise due care and skill.GPAP Board Meeting CadenceThe GPAP Board meets at least six (6) times per year. Meetings have been primarily virtual in recent years, with a hybrid virtual/in-person approach anticipated. The cadence includes a formal evening Board dinner the night before a full-day meeting.Board committeesThere are four Board committees, including:Finance and Audit CommitteeGovernance CommitteeNominations CommitteePhilanthropy TaskforceBoard members are expected to be a member of at least one committee.General AssemblyEvery GPAP Board member is required to be a member of the GPAP General Assembly (GA), which comprises the GPAP membership. It is not required to have all attributes since multiple directors are being recruited.
