Scientist I, Research & Development
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
* Practical project development towards commercial research products
* Development and validation of immunological detection methods for the analysis of biological samples
* Independent planning and execution of experiments including data analysis and appropriate documentation of experiments according to company policy.
* Laboratory maintenance, like instrument calibration and buffer preparation
* Performance of testing and assays in accordance with approved methods and SOPs
* Assistance in troubleshooting, investigations and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
* B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
* Hands-on experience with immunoassays (ELISA, bead-based multiplex assays, PLA or similar)
* Good understanding of immunology, cell biology and protein analysis techniques.
* Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Possesses analytical thinking skills that are applied to solving a sophisticated scientific problem
* Works well in a team environment and collaborates with other members of the team to find a solution
* Proficiency in German and English
