Visplore is a highly interactive software solution for visual data analytics in industry. Our self-service analytics software empowers engineers and data scientists in turning data from industrial processes into business value and data-backed decisions. Visplore customers worldwide have gained key insights how to reduce energy consumption, downtimes, waste, and hours of experts spent on data preparation and routine reporting.
You’ll work in an inspiring startup atmosphere: 30 talents located in central Vienna, backed by multiple European VC investors, and growing fast. We are currently extending our team with a Python Developer (m/f/d) in High-Tech Start-Up.
What you will do
* Implement integrations with time series data base systems and other third party systems, automation features, and algorithms for time series data.
* Evaluate requirements and specifications, perform effort estimations, and write test cases for tasks and projects.
* Participate in agile development practices, including stand-ups, sprint plannings and demo/retro sessions.
Your profile
* 2+ years experience in writing modular, maintainable Python code, while keeping in mind Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
* Quick learner when it comes to understanding underlying business problems and customer requirements
* You value teamwork and don’t hesitate to help your teammates, occasionally pair-programming to solve blockers
* Independent and pragmatic, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability
* You have a valid work permission for Austria
* You are willing to relocate or commute to Vienna - one of the most livable cities in the world!
Nice to have
* Degree in Computer Science, or a similar field
* Experience with time series database systems, REST APIs, GUI frameworks, and writing algorithms on time series data
* Some experience with C++ (Python interfaces with our C++ application core)
* Some knowledge of German is a plus

This is a full-time position (38.5h/week) with a minimum salary 47.600 € gross/year.
Higher salary is possible based on qualifications.
