Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Vienna.
This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic commissions and high‑profile projects in a market‑leading client base.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead complex projects and programmes as the key client interface
Develop working relationships, problem‑solve and drive projects to successful completion
Manage the design process to achieve the client’s requirements and manage expectations
Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, cost‑saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
Prepare and present formal project progress and other reports
Manage and coordinate a team, contractors and designers
Manage project safety and environmental requirements
Manage project timelines, risks and reporting
Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep the budget on track
Engage with marketing and business‑development initiatives
Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
Draft contract documents in strict accordance with approved contract templates
Work closely with the project team to ensure effective and timely document processing and contract management
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management or a related field
7–10 years of project management experience, preferably in a Data Centre or similar technical environment
Technical understanding of Data Centre infrastructure – HVAC, electrical, generators, fire, security and BMS
Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction
Leadership experience
Comprehensive understanding of the full project life cycle from inception to post‑project review
Excellent knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques
Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment
Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients
Availability for on‑site work
Additional Information
The minimum collective‑agreement salary (as per the Austrian Collective Agreement) for this position is €63,000 gross per year. A premium will be awarded based on expertise and professional experience.
