Job Description
* Develop and implement purchasing strategies in mechanics to ensure competitiveness and long‑term supply security.
* International procurement of mechanical components and market analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities.
* Select, manage, and continuously develop the supplier portfolio.
* Negotiate framework and supply agreements.
* Close collaboration and communication with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
* Handle complaints and enforce claims.
* Identify and independently implement optimisation and cost‑reduction potentials.
Qualifications
* Technical or commercial education with additional technical qualification in mechanics.
* Several years of experience in strategic purchasing for mechanical product groups, with proven negotiation success.
* Confident use of MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
* High level of commitment, structured working style, and strong quality awareness.
* Strong implementation skills and focus on essentials.
* Experience with low‑cost sourcing in Asia is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel.

We offer a fair and market‑aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade, adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labour market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €4,200 (full‑time). Your actual gross salary will be individually determined and can be higher in recognition of your qualifications.
