Lead and oversee Women’s Safety Services SA (WSSSA) crisis, integrated and statewide domestic and family violence programs.

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Services to provide trauma-informed oversight and leadership of service development and responses. Aligning service delivery with contractual requirements, organisational goals, strategic direction, and the WSSSA client practice model.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will also play an integral part in setting the direction and culture across all WSSSA Programs, to ensure the empowerment of Leaders in managing day to day operational and decision-making requirements of their respective programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Service development, planning and policy development, overseeing the implementation of quality service responses.
* Leadership and oversight of all WSSSA programs and the Student Placement Program, including supervision of four direct reports.
* Inform WSSSA’s financial development planning process and contribute to budget planning and management.
* Identify, develop, and implement risk management strategies to ensure a high level of compliance across programs.
* Work in collaboration with People & Culture to support best practice WH&S policies to ensure safe work practices.
* Oversee management of the client database and ensure the collection and effective use of service data in the review and planning of services.
* Oversight of client incidents and complaints
ABOUT YOU
* Hold a degree level qualification in Social Work or a tertiary qualification in Social Science, Community Service, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant qualification, with extensive experience commensurate with the position.
* Proven senior leadership experience, particularly involving roles focussed on driving leader capacity, empowerment, and accountability for individual and team performance.
* Experience in service development, management, and evaluation, including the development of frameworks or practice models.
* Knowledge of the needs of women and children affected by domestic and/or family violence.
* Strong financial, operational and people management skills
* High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Ability to negotiate successful outcomes for clients at individual, team, and service levels
* Demonstrated empathy and ability to build relationships with a diverse range of marginalised and highly vulnerable people.
