The Events Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the firm’s events programme, including client-facing events, webinars, sponsorships, and internal initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing the firm’s brand visibility, strengthening client relationships, and supporting business development objectives through high-quality, strategically aligned events.
Event Planning & Delivery Plan and manage a calendar of events, including seminars, conferences, webinars, hospitality events, and sponsorships.
Lead end-to-end event delivery, from concept and logistics to post-event evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with partners, lawyers, and BD teams to identify event opportunities and objectives.
Liaise with external suppliers, venues, and agencies, providing on-site support as the main point of contact.
Marketing & Promotion Develop promotional materials and campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
Manage event invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up communications using CRM and email tools.
Budget & Reporting Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
Track event performance, gather feedback, and report on ROI.
Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all events comply with legal, regulatory, health & safety requirements.
Manage data privacy and GDPR considerations in event communications and attendee management.
About You You’re an experienced events professional who thrives on delivering high‑quality, well‑executed events that strengthen relationships and elevate a firm’s brand. Highly organised and detail‑focused, you can confidently manage multiple projects at once, while staying calm under pressure. You’re a strong communicator who builds positive relationships with colleagues, partners, clients, and suppliers, and you’re comfortable being the go‑to person on the ground during events. You combine creativity with strategic thinking, ensuring every event aligns with business objectives and delivers a polished client experience. Above all, you bring a proactive, collaborative, and solutions‑focused mindset, along with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Proven experience in event management, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event/CRM platforms (e.g., InterAction, Vuture, Eventbrite, Zoom).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience: Experience in the IP or legal sector.
Creative thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Strong understanding of brand and client experience.
