Overview
Position Summary: Supervisor for a specific high-volume standalone or storefront donation center.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise daily activities of assigned sites and personnel, ensuring safety and security during opening and closing.
2. Assist in scheduling daily assignments to ensure site coverage.
3. Perform work activities of subordinates when necessary.
4. Oversee training of new attendants and provide ongoing training, safety briefings, and huddles.
5. Communicate policy violations, handle disciplinary actions, and coordinate HR issues with the Donation Center Coordinator or Department Manager.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the site; report supply needs and maintenance concerns.
7. Inform Transportation Department of transportation needs or concerns.
8. Complete all paperwork, including payroll forms, weekly.
9. Safeguard donations and company property from damage or theft, treating all with respect.
10. Ensure staff compliance with the Donation Center Manual.
11. Address donor/customer concerns, escalating when necessary, and document issues promptly.
12. Perform bag checks on staff when present.
13. For storefront sites with sales, handle cash transactions, balance the safe, and manage banking responsibilities.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
* Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
* Experience: Minimum six months supervisory experience required; one year preferred. Internal promotions considered.
* Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Email, Word, and Excel.
* Certificates and Licenses: Valid CA Driver’s License preferred, with acceptable driving record.
