Overview
Join the Delegate Group as a Senior Software Test Engineer & Documentation Writer. We are a company with over 70 employees and are a global leader in software solutions, services and consulting for professional gastronomy, catering and healthcare. Our modular Delegate solution supports the entire process chain from procurement, recipe management, menu and production planning to capturing patient menu preferences in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
As part of our QA team, actively contribute to quality assurance of our .NET-based application and web services software solutions.
Develop, analyze and document software tests across our product portfolio. While we currently perform mostly manual testing, you will help strategically and structurally build up automated testing.
Collaborate with developers, product management and other QA colleagues to create and maintain test cases, analyze results and document defect reports.
Support the creation of user-friendly product documentation (online help, manuals, etc.) to guide customers through the software.
Coordinate bi-weekly builds and general releases with the team.
Learn and grow in new topics and technologies; there is room for development at Delegate.
Qualifications
MUST HAVES
Strong technical understanding in a software environment, broad IT know-how – ideally .NET technologies, networking and test environments
Experience with test automation and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
Basic understanding of software architectures, with a view to testable and maintainable systems
Structured, solution-oriented work style and decisiveness
Strong organizational skills and sense of personal responsibility
Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
High motivation, resilience, team spirit and flexibility
NICE TO HAVE
ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)
Fundamentals of DevOps practices and containerization (e.g., Docker)
Knowledge in the area of goods management (Food & Beverage) or gastronomy
Experience with microservices architectures

Compensation
Please apply with your complete application including salary expectations and earliest possible start date. The collective agreement minimum for this full-time position is EUR 53,802 gross per year. A market-appropriate salary will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
